MaryCarmen Hyandi believed in hard work and complete dedication. Her own experienced was one such too. She believed that people who have made their way on this path need to be recognized. Her thoughts and believes can be read here, written by her on October 22nd, 2014.

For this, she interviewed many fashion photographers, designers and models like Shine Messmer [designer-Glitter], Mila Blauvelt [Model/Photographer], Ceci Dover [Singer], Beatriz and owners of Mahasiah Tony Models, Yashi Audion [well known model in Spanish community], Sofia Corleone [designer- Celestine], Lamu Friedman [designer- Lamu], Lolita Paragorn [Model/ Stylist / Blogger], Dahriel [Model/ Photographer], Mely Gibbs[Model] in her website.

Last night, I visited the Edge Gallery, Landmark, where many fashion artists have displayed their work. Few artists have put their art for sale.

A double storied gallery featuring artists like Danity Myrix, Honey Bender, Joanne Vuitton, Miele Tarantal, Tempest Rosca and Wicca Merlin,

Each artistic work portrayed the feelings of each artist. In each of the work, not only the avatar, and their outfit was displayed but also their communication with the environment within virtual world.

The colors, their accessories and their poses spoke bounds. Each had their unique style of viewing through the camera.

Each work came alive with the right use of lighting and shadow setting the mood for each thematic work.

Don't miss the opportunity to view these works. You can also take home a few as the prices of each art is very reasonable. The level of detail in each is of the highest. And each have the quality to enhance your house or office speaking a bundle about your taste.

VR families have parents, grand parents, god parents, uncles and aunts; an array of sometimes annoying cousins and next to kin like brother and sisters who share a bond, not by blood but by sheer love. Love is a bond that makes them stronger than any other bond which am sure you will agree too. Families can either be made of members who are real people behind avatars, roleplaying to be child, toddler, baby, teenager or even an adult; or prim babies created by residents to make the family roleplaying more realistic and fun.
<span style="font-family: "verdana" , "geneva" , sans-serif;">The next big question is which to adapt or have. This decision purely rests on you. But if you are going to decide by which is the most popular, here are a few opinion polls. The questions asked were:

<span style="background-color: black; color: white; font-family: "verdana" , "geneva" , sans-serif; font-size: 14px; line-height: 19.6px;">Which is their most favorite prim baby or which prim baby according to them is the most popular and why?Do they have it?

<span style="background-color: black; color: white; font-family: "verdana" , "geneva" , sans-serif; font-size: 14px; line-height: 19.6px;">Would they prefer a baby avatar (an actual person roleplaying behind the avatar as a kid) or a prim baby (the one made of mesh or prim)?

<span style="background-color: black; color: white; font-family: "verdana" , "geneva" , sans-serif; font-size: 14px; line-height: 19.6px;">At what age do you think, one should adapt a baby avatar for a complete family roleplay experience?

<span style="font-family: "verdana" , "geneva" , sans-serif;">Joycieselphie Larimore: I think its the Zooby's because for me it looks like more realistic. I can feel being a parent and it looks cute. Yes, I have one. I would like a prim baby because I don't like an adult person portraying to be a baby. In Zooby', I love their script as they can grow and it is always available when I want them to be with me. I want to take care of them and see them grow. I don't need a baby who can talk. Prim babies are more realistic for me if I can see them just crawling and play with blocks. As of now, I don't see any prim baby that is much better than Zooby'. May be if I can find one then why not try it too.
I think Toodoodle is a prim baby right? I'm not up to date with the SL prim/mesh babies. I don't, I think I had one like 4 or 5 years ago but I honestly don't remember where I got it from. I've just recently come back to SL on a full time basis so prim and/or avi babies will be in my future. I think you should be at least a year into SL before you even think about starting a SL family. I think that't enough time to really get to know what SL is about and get a feel for the people you're hanging with.
<span style="font-family: "verdana" , "geneva" , sans-serif;">Shalanie Tann: I like the Zooby's and I think it is the most popular because it is most realistic baby in roleplaying experience. Zooby babies work with a large variety of babies also. For me, I want baby avataria because I want to communicate to the baby; talk, play, feel the love that he or she can give to me. It is fun and more real. Toddler is a cute age to adapt. In my other alt account, my live-in partner already had a prim baby before we met.
I would prefer a baby avatar cause we can interact and it would feel more real. Among prim babies, I like the Zooby, others I don't know. I only have 2 on-duty and zooby babies. I think the right age to adapt is since first born. It is more nice and wonderful.
Although, I think, I like Zooby better as I think they are cute. I do not have a baby yet but in future I think I will like to have a Zooby newborn. We never forced anyone to pay to grow their baby, but if they cared for their baby, it would grow and learn and earn tokens for free toys. So the incentive was if the owner did these things then a reward was provided." Not only among the customers/ end users for its interactivity, Zooby' have grabbed the market of the sellers selling clothing, furniture and accessories for zooby babies. As Carrie Tatsu, points out, that it is impossible for a single creator-cum-seller to meet the increasing demands in the market. This is where the residents who are also the sellers come in selling and providing wide range of options for clothing, furniture and accessories for the end users. Eventually, it all sums up and helps it in making it popular.
<span style="font-family: "verdana" , "geneva" , sans-serif;">

<span style="font-family: "verdana" , "geneva" , sans-serif;">Irrespective, of people selecting, prim babies or baby avatar, one thing is constant, the look and the interactivity between them and the baby is very crucial to everyone. It is that, that makes virtual living and virtual experience, more real and close to heart.
<span style="font-family: "verdana" , "geneva" , sans-serif;">

A Christian Series filmed at Second Life, using the Second Life avatar, animations and environment, is one of a kind to look out for. A mechinima series created by its residents went live this February.

The trailer for the episode can be watched at Dynasty Television. The ones in the Mid-west may check the listings for Charter Cable channel 198. Or you can view the trailer here:

It is written and produced by Exquisite Xpressionz, LLC., filmed and edited by Rockford Ewing, Double Trouble Productions and music by Creative Nation Music.

The first episode was aired on February 1st, 2016 at 8:00pm on Dynasty Television. A 30-minute show is a story of Joy Jamison working at a high-end boutique trying to find a place for herself.

Joy thinks that her career would take a joyride if she was stylish like a celebrity, a common thought among teenagers. A make-over helps her to see that beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder and a little faith in herself. It helps her to see that God's creations are always beautiful, you only got to look it from God's eyes.

An enthralling drama, encourages us to look within our soul.

A good start and paving the way for next-gen mechinima artists, this Christian series is sure to capture the heart. With a good story line to back the series and just enough dialogues, it will keep you attentive throughout. However, the use of what's available in Second Life, in terms of fashion, decoration and animation, could have been better. We hope to see more of such series in future. For this first series, I would rate 4/5 stars leaving one star for improvement, which am sure will happen soon.

I am honored to be invited as a blogger to the 30/31 Event by the founder of Windlight Magazine. Ever since, Sensuous Maximus suggested to write about artists in The Torch:Entertainment Guide, Biance Xavorin' interview paved my way to meet many more wonderful artists; where each art expresses something of its own. The journey continues.

Artists and creators are invited to the bi-monthly event managed and run by Windlight Magazine to promote 2D, 3D, and decorative arts and to introduce people to the amazing artists of Second life. Press Release:

It is with the same passion and energy that we reach the 6th Edition of the Festival of 2Lei in Second Life for the "International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women", with the support of those who follow and support us, believing with us in this project and in the common message of solidarity to the women victims of violence, that our events launch from this virtual world through art, culture and information.

Where did we leave off? The theme of the previous edition was the ability of women to be reborn from their pain, with the help of institutions and the support of those close to them. Explosions of light, color and music had greeted a woman still wounded in body and soul, lost and insecure but facing a different future, full of dreams and hopes, because no longer alone. Now, we find that woman taking the next step, the growth and transformation to rebirth. She stands tall and although not yet fully on stable legs, her body is smooth and the wounds are healed, she is regaining strength, courage, joy, to start over. That tunnel that held her silence is already far, helping hands have accompanied her on the journey to a new life, finally free, independent and fully aware of her value and dignity, that no one will ever again hurt; she now knows that love between a couple in a relationship is above all respect, trust, complicity and does not ever include domain, control, violence. This woman has regained a strong, extraordinary resilience.

In Italy, the latest statistical data relating to gender based violence, shows signs of improvement compared to previous years, thanks to the interventions of the institutions, the work of organizations and listening centers for women, greater information, such a social climate more conducive to condemn violence, but above all to improved women;s ability to prevent and combat the phenomenon. These first positive signals should be taken as a boost to move forward in the fight against violence and against everything that helps to nurture it, to underestimate it, to take it for granted. There are still many, many women in the world who do not have the ability or the possibility to break the chains and be reborn. Too many women are still discriminated, subdues, exploited, abused, killed. We cannot ignore them and leave them in a corner.

We know that there is still much to be changed and that the journey will not be easy, but we also know that if women and men travel together and combat injustice and discrimination, claiming the necessary attention of institutions, if they work together, through comparison, dialogue, communication, to modify the different patterns in couples, between parents and children, in social life, our children will receive examples and teaching based on new values of equality and respect for differences and be able to build the necessary and desired social cultural transformation, which would mark a victory for our entire society.

History

Toys for Tots began as a Los Angeles charitable effort in 1947. William Hendricks was inspired by his wife Diane when she tried to donate a homemade Raggedy Ann doll to a needy child, but could not find any organisation to do so. At her suggestion Hendricks gathered a group of local marine reservists, including Lieutenant Colonel John Hampton, who coordinated and collected some 5000 toys for local children that year from collection bins placed outside Warner Bros. movie theaters. Their efforts were so successful that in 1948, Toys for Tots were launched as a national campaign. Hendricks became the director of Public Relations for Warner Brothers Studio to enlist celebrity support, as well as have a Walt Disney Studios design the red toy train logo.

Until 1979, Marine reservists, dressed in blur uniforms, and volunteers would collect and refurbish toys. In 1980, only new toys were accepted as reservists were no longer able to dedicate drill hours to refurbish toys. As well as the legal concerns and the mixed message of giving hand -me-downs asa message of hope.

In 1991, the Secretary of Defense authorized the creation and affiliation with the non profit charity foundation. In 1995, the Secretary of Defense approved Toys for Tots as an official mission of the Marine Corps Reserve.

In 1996, many communities that did not have a Marine reservist presence, the commander of Marine Forces Reserve authorized Marine Corps League detachments and other local organisations to fill gaps in the toy collection and distribution. In 2009, the program received support from Michelle Obama, who placed the first collection box at the White House. They Toys for Tots Program and Foundation have collected and distributed almost Five Hundred Million toys ever since. In 2011 December, First Lady Michelle Obama took part in a Toys for Tots activity at Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling.
History in Second Life

This year, Toys for Tots in Second Life is in its 7th year. Started with a meagre undertaking with live music groups and venues and raised 2500 USD. It was founded by Pat Wunderland of Wunderland Records, who came up with the idea to help all we could by using the live music talents to create a CD to give donation with the donation. It was figured that L$500 can be used to buy one toy in RL and that was set price of CD donation. Last year, 2014, total donation of 9,566,604 L$ was raised for the cause.

Social Community

Sansar and Oculus Rift

More is explained here:

Land Pricing and Prims
According to Ebbe, (and as we know it), maintaining server costs are too expensive. If they make land cheaper, they would have to make money in other ways to strike out a balance between the two. Although the land set up fees has just been reduced, SL rates won't be any cheaper. However, in Sansar we can expect lower land prices with the opportunity of doubt if lowering prices would increase the volume. Hence, he is not clear about the ways to recover from the reduction. There might be different configuration of land packages for both platforms, SL and Sansar in future.

Attracting New Users
In the past few months, SL is doing ad campaigns for Target customers using themed landing pages, PR, subscription emails (if a person has a viewer and has not logged in for a while). The conversion rates have increased over time. This has helped to track users behavior on the basic to clicks and virtual footsteps. Learning and welcome island have been modernized to give the new users better learning experience and are better than private welcome islands. For Sansar, the slurls will help the new prospective users to have an experience straight from their web pages rather than following the route of registration. This project is at the moment still in developing along with avi testing.

Gateways Program
These programs would be introduced in Sansar making it possible for creators to attract their own audience. Improvements in API are being made so that they can work with people who can attract meaningful number of users per week. In the start they are not aiming for 1000's of getaways, However, they are inviting a few content users who can bring in new users. Each Gateway program will be an experience for users. Experience meaning, fantasy worlds, role playing worlds,Jo Yardley' Berlin, community like Brazil, India etc.

Marketplace beta
Improvements in market place are in beta stage (still in trial and error). Soon the relevance in search will be optimized. A new search engine is being used so that there can be an addition of more categories and the relevant search works better. The Feedback Process will be elaborated by Pete Linden on a later date.

Structure of Second Life and Sansar
There are separate teams for product, design, engineering. Sometimes the teams come together for a meeting for some products like the economy and compliance work. The move from Second Life to Sansar might have a cannibalization effect someday; so, Ebbe wants Sansar to the VR which is better in content and experience that people will move to eventually. To replicate Second Life, it will take a lot of time. Hence, the Labs gives the opportunity to choose. For better experience the Lab is working with architectural firms and museums; work with its primary customers who are the content creators (inviting a handful for now) to bring in value. By end of 2016, Sansar would open its doors.

Would it be a Hypergrid?
One may not have the option to jump to different platforms with the same identity. However, there will an interconnected web that would map the experiences where content creators can collaborate with others to create a single and vast experience like representing a country. Sansar would me more than what SL offers in terms of being successful. Although, Ebbe Linden says that, success is a relative word and means different for different person. He says that at the moment success in SL can mostly seen by people selling content or in land arbitrage; with Sansar it will also be with experience.

Abandoned Land
There will be no consolidation, auto-return or any major shifting of people for Abandoned Land.

Encourage Content Creators
Linden Lab will give more power and control to content creators. They will be their primary customers in Sansar; unlike in Second Life where content creators and users are both taken as primary customers. Any content creator who can acquire and retain users with a good data analytic will be encouraged.

Programming Language
Linden Scripting Language or LSL would not be used as is now in SL. Sansar could support more than one language in future. This depends on its use and performance. Programs like C-Sharp, Visual Studio would be commonly used along with mesh.

Any Tools like Steam?
For Sansar there will be a directory to collect the right type of meta data to enable search and related links in future. They are working on external search engine so that each experience has its own landing page which may give the creators the function to edit them in future.

Mirrors and Reflection on Water
The Lab is rewriting the rendering engine because the flexibility may be constrained in future within the first quarter. The new rendering engine will develop a smooth functioning on windows and other platforms. In future other aspects like atmosphere etc will be added to this engine. Reflections may be a possibility however mirrors pose a far greater challenge.

Infringement
Content and infringement in Trademarks, copy rights etc will be monitored in Sansar the same way as it has been done in Second Life. There will be no significant changes.

Basic Skill set needed
C-sharp and mesh skills will help in quickly to create. Content creators have a choice to stay, leave or live in both platforms.

The move over
There will be a choice offered to Second Life users to move to Sansar or not or may be play in both worlds. The transition will be slow until new economy gets going. Hence, there might be (yet to come up) an unique package for SL users who are moving to Sansar and not get hit with full costs if they choose to live in both worlds.

Voice and Text Conversion
Ebbe would get a plugin for voice to text and vice versa conversion from the available tools in the market for Sansar.

Social Community
Sansar would see a social community in future where the comunity head may me able to send texts and emails to the whole community users. The large communities will be encouraged and entertained to have their experiences established.

Persona
Each experience in Sansar may have different personas by the same user without having to create an alt avatar. Personas would help the content creators build in a better experience for others. It would also help a person the tiresome process of logging in and logging out every time. However, it will not be possible for all the personas to be logged in at the same time.

Sansar and Oculus Rift
The Labs are working closely with Oculus hardware for smooth and better experience. Content Creators in Sansar will be given a guided tour in understanding which content are rendered in which device. Sansar will be best suited for PC. The count on polygons for each content determines which device can be used to render it. For contents that are within 50,000 polygons count would be rendered by Oculus. Higher number of polygons in a content can be rendered by PC and lower number of polygons can be rendered by Mobile VR. Hence, PC will render all > Oculus will render a subset of PC > Mobile VR will render a subset of Oculus > Gear VR will render a subset of Mobile VR> cardboard will render a subset of Gear VR. It can also been seen that number of PC users are far less than the number of Mobile VR. According to Ebbe, people would want to access more in Mobile VR in future with the introduction of platforms like Android and iOS. Until the time that Mobile VR can handle higher FPS (Frames per second), content creators will have a constraint on the number of polygons per content rendered.
I are renting from Jessica Chung. I took 2048 sqm and got close to 600 prims
which i find quite sufficient. I search land based on service providers. I look
for reliability rather than cheap. I will rather look at a parcel which is
there for some time, though it’s expensive than going to a newbie who started
it lately and selling it for less price. I would go GAGA when i get extra prims.

If it is for shop I like that land with streets. Well i don’t rely on known
names. I used to rent alot and when i say a lot means from many estates, other
than mainland, I don’t like at all. I used to rent the most cheaply where I
have to stay the most time usually from Chung family. But in all the places I
stayed, this place where I`m staying now, I like the most. I like the name of
the land and the place; it is on a corner with a bonus prim package with a
reasonable price. I have rented for Hum4ever Magic of Chahit Estates; a South
East corner parcel, Indian Paradise. People search cheap lands for many prims,
although, I like a good price with good prims.
had no land, I would have one for my store and my home. I don’t like beaches
and sea in RL, so i don’t like in SL, my preference would be somewhere in
mounts, but i don’t mind. My land has a view on the sea on one side. It opens
the view; so i don’t hate it, well, let's say i don’t mind inland or sea
facing, it’s equal for me. I have almost a 1/4 sim on a private estate from New
found land estates. I don’t look for cheap deals. I have never thought to it. I
am COO of an event that is quarterly. So, we look for a land each for 4 months.
And I didn’t ever think to look there, I will next time. (Laughs) I look for at least 3500 prims, higher is better but then
the price is a limit too. I never understood what is a Bonus prim. I have a
bonus factor of 1.07 here where i am but I don’t know what it means. So well,
to answer your question, as I never understood what it was, it never made a
difference. The price of Full sim could be, well really less than what it is. I
would say $200 USD max, which is a dream.

<span style="font-family: "times new roman" , serif;">Irrespective of the
size of the land, the prims offered, the price; there is a universal opinion
that the Land prices are a bit higher. But considering the space is occupies on
servers and giving the freedom to an individual, the price and prim count is
still worth it. People decide on the basis
of their requirement. I also believe that the next step is the deal that is
best at any point of time. The reason I rent a land is for workshop and office.
Sandboxes don’t help me build with a auto-return factor. If you ask, is it
worth it to rent a workshop, yes because it is my place to plunge into
creativity. I usually prefer the inland to live because I like to see what my neighbors did to their place too; in short, it makes me feel that I belong to
a community. I am renting from Victoria Chung, 2 estates on 2 different
regions. I am always on the lookout for parcels/homes/skyboxes with cheap deals
for both unfurnished and furnished. It is a habit that I have since my noob
days; just like I keep an eye for the deals on outfits, gadgets, décor etc. I
do not like Bonus prims, it is not a factor when I buy a land. If the factor is
not right, it might cause lag for the Full Sim, including your neighbors. So,
it is a no. As for the price of the Full sim, in my opinion I am willing to
accept it, as I am aware of the maintenance cost for the server preserving my
creations my dream even when I am sleeping.

With a rating for over 3.8/5, this app is progressing towards making a statement to all the victims that we are there to help. One could register as a member; select a local organisation to connect with it; and sponsor a hotel stay. We have more than once talked about violence and various forms of it. The most prevalent is the domestic violence. Females all across the world face such. In many countries, women usually adjust with such behavior of the opposite calling it as tradition or obligation of the society. While in other countries, women step up against such acts. Irrespective of the country you live in, I urge each woman to take a stand for themselves against violence.
